Bridge Updates!

Welcome!

THE West Virginia Railroad Museum, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is to archive, exhibit, and operate significant items that tell the story of West Virginia's railroad heritage.
The Museum's Board of Directors invites you to become a part of a dynamic organization that owns a growing collection of steam and diesel locomotives. Since our start in 2003, two West Virginia Northern Railroad Baldwin 2-8-0 steam locomotives, a B&O E8, and the Middle Fork Railroad Heisler #7, the last Heisler built, have been moved back to West Virginia for restoration.
Once restorations are complete, these locomotives will be operated on approximately 122 miles of state-owned trackage in the Elkins, West Virginia area.
On the following pages, you will find more information about our current projects, fundraising efforts, and your membership opportunities.
Please join us. Your support is crucial for us to continue to secure and preserve these important pieces of railroad history.

Please Note!
At this time, we do not have a physical site you can visit. Our collection is stored in several locations, and as you can read in our Projects list, we are working on acquiring a building site. For now, you can only visit us on the web.

Work Sessions are underway. Click here for more info.
